Manipur is a province in north-eastern region of India.   Though little in size, it is a sporting and cultural powerhouse of North-East India.   Due to its scenic beauty and stable weather, it is lovingly called the " Switzerland of India". 

Generally, Manipuris are simple, hard-working, fun-loving people.    Apart from Manipur, they can be found in large numbers in Tripura and Assam provinces of India and also in Bangladesh.
