Place: Madhyermura, Sekerkote
Occasion : Marriage ceremony in a Bengali family.
It is a Bengali tradition/ritual to bring fresh water from a big pond or water body in the locality to be used by the priest in conducting the marriage later in the evening. A group of women folk of that household accompanied by professional musicians walk sometimes miles ( if there's no suitable pond nearby ) to collect water. In this case, they had to walk 3 miles to a big pond at Tapoban Ashram.
