mela or village fair is an occasion fun and joy. A scene at a Baishakhi mela
in Golaghati bazar ( Bishalgarh ), West Tripura. Every year on 5th day of Baishakha
( first month of Hindu calendar year ) this mela is held here. People from adjoining
areas like Baidyardighi, Sepahijala, Takarjala, Gopinagar, Jampuijala and Bishalgarh
come to take part in merry making and fan fare.
