Bashok Eshei mp3

Bashok eshei is very popular among senior, religious minded Manipuris.  The songs depict the agony of Radharani in the absence of Lord Shree Krishna.

I have collected some rare Bashok songs for my personal listening.  Such items are now  rare and not easily available in modern Manipur where matam eshei or pop songs are craze.  They have no idea how slowly but steadily their rich culture is vanishing. Bashok, Khongjom, Nott-eshei, pung cholom, pala-kirton, sankirton items on CDs are nowadays premium things in Manipur.  You may have to search entire Manipur markets, and if lucky, you may find one or two numbers but no large collection available.  They are not interested in such 'out-dated' culture.  They believe in jeans, wine & dine, western pop.  This is my personal experience when I visited Imphal recently.
