You must believe in God if you look at the life history of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi. In fact it is like a fairy tale.
By birth she is an Italian. She grew up in a beautiful village in Italy. Her parents then sent her abroad for higher studies. At that time Rajib Gandhi was studying at the Cambridge in 1960s. As luck would have it, they met, fell in love at first sight, romanced till 28th February, 1968, when they got married.
She officially became citizen of India on 30th April, 1983. She has superbly adopted to Indian way of life and traditions. Surprisingly, her favourite food is 'daal & roti' and lemon juice. Always wearing a saree, she speaks fluent Hindi. I have personally listened to her speech in Hindi at a political rally at Astabal Maidan, in Agartala. She was excellent. She can also speak fluently in French, Russian, English, Spanish and Italian.

As an Indian citizen I was personally very annoyed and felt extremely sorry when some political parties raised question about her eligibility for PM's post because she was not an Indian by birth. Very ridiculous argument and not acceptable. There is a Bengali saying : "jonmo houk jotha, totha... karma houk bhalo!" ( Meaning: your birth or race is not important, what really counts is your character, humanity and good work".
However, at present she is the Chairperson of the ruling UPA government. In effect, the rein of this country is in her capable hands. She can always have powers to realize late Rajib Gandhi's dreams. The Congress party is regaining lost grounds again all over India under her stewardship.
She is the most powerful politician in the country at present. And the third most powerful woman in the world ( according to Forbes magazine).
